Hi, my name is Markus Haken. I live, study and work in Hamburg, Germany. I am a student of Media Management and I work as a consultant in an ad agency. As I am interested in filmmaking and photography, this blog circles around these topics. I also enjoy music and webdesign.

In the past few months I have become more and more interested in the new video DSLRs. Since I am planning to pursue a career in filmmaking in the near future, I am currently setting myself up with quite some gear for shooting video with DSLRs.

There are a great deal of blogs out there which provide enthusiasts like me with a lot of input on this topic (i personally can recommend the blogs of Philip Bloom and Nino Leitner). I want to use my blog to talk about my experiences and ideas – especially when it comes to staying on a budget. My hope is to be of help for some of you guys who also want to get into business with HDDSLRs and have limited financial means; just like me.
